Valérie Leclair MD PhD
Dr. Valérie Leclair is a rheumatologist at the Jewish General Hospital in Montreal, an assistant professor at McGill University and an investigator at the Lady Davis Institute for Medical Research. Since 2024, Dr Leclair is the Director of CIMS.

Marie Hudson MD MPH
Dr. Marie Hudson is a physician-scientist at the Jewish General Hospital, an associate professor of Medicine, and the Director of the Division of Rheumatology at McGill University. She founded the CIMS registry in 2010 and was its director until 2024. Dr Hudson is a leading expert in myositis, systemic sclerosis and rheumatic adverse events related to cancer immunotherapy.

Océane Landon-Cardinal MD
Dr. Océane Landon-Cardinal completed her Rheumatology residency training at the Université de Montréal (UofM) in 2015 and then completed a 2-year post-doctoral Fellowship (2016-2018) on myositis at the National Referral Center for Neuromuscular Diseases at the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital in Paris, France, under the supervision of Pr Olivier Benveniste. Since 2018, she is a staff rheumatologist at the Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM), a clinical assistant professor at UofM and physician-scientist at the CHUM research center. She has established a Myositis Clinic at the CHUM.

Josiane Bourré-Tessier MD MSc
Dr. Josiane Bourré-Tessier is a rheumatologist at the Cabinet de Rhumatologie de Montréal and at the Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM) where she is an attending staff at the myositis clinic. She is an Associate clinical professor at Université de Montréal and a clinical investigator at the Research Center of the CHUM. She is the author and co-author of numerous articles on connective tissue diseases.


Maude Bouchard-Marmen MD
Dr. Maude Bouchard Marmen is rheumatologist and associated researcher at the CHU de Québec – Université Laval and at the Institut Universitaire de Cardiologie et de Pneumologie de Québec. She completed her rheumatology residency at Université Laval and obtained additional training in inflammatory myopathies in
Strasbourg, France.

May Choi MD MPH
Dr. May Choi is a rheumatologist and clinician scientist whose research is focused on biomarker discovery and validation for prediction of clinical outcomes in autoimmune rheumatic diseases, and the prevention of autoimmune disease development and disease-related complications. Her background and training include a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology at Harvard University and a lupus fellowship at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Dr. Choi is also the Associate Director of MitogenDx Laboratory for novel autoantibody and biomarker testing for autoimmune diseases and the Associate Director of Research for the University of Calgary Lupus Centre of Excellence.


Kun Huang MD PhD
Dr. Huang earned her PhD in Neuroscience from University of British Columbia (UBC) and MD degree from University of Toronto. She completed Internal Medicine residency and Rheumatology fellowship at UBC. She obtained additional training in the field of inflammatory myositis in Toronto. She currently runs a subspecialty clinic in myositis at Mary Pack Arthritis Centre, is a clinical assistant professor at UBC and a clinical investigator at the Arthritis Research Canada.

Fergus To MD
Dr. Fergus To completed his medical school, Internal Medicine Residency, and Rheumatology fellowship at UBC. He then completed training in inflammatory myopathies at the University of Manchester, UK. He is a faculty member at UBC and serves as a consultant rheumatologist at Vancouver General Hospital and Saint Paul’s Hospital. He also started and runs the Vancouver Coastal Health Myositis Clinic at Mary Pack Arthritis Centre for which he was awarded the BC Society of Rheumatology Award for Innovation
